Autumn comes rather quickly in the mountains above us.
And when we see the first signs of color
as we look up
from our back porch...
we know if we don't get up there soon
we may just miss the show.
Let's go for a drive!
The Alpine Loop...
my favorite way
to welcome the new season!
De très beaux paysages d'automne chez-vous.
ReplyDeleteThank you... I can only imagine that your Autumn is beautiful as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love autumn colours. And those mossy rocks of course.
ReplyDeleteiii
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty! Some of the landscape is very similar to north central New Mexico, which makes me miss it even more!
ReplyDeleteNow that's what I call an autumn drive! Gorgeous indeed....
ReplyDeleteWish you could actually drive it... simply breathtaking! And we actually missed the peak of the season.
ReplyDeleteFabulous fall show in your mountains...we are seeing our fall colors earlier this year...
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping an early Fall doesn't mean an early Winter. I do love Winter but I'm just not ready for the cold yet.
ReplyDeleteThe fall colors are beautiful in the trees, but I just have to say that your header photo is the most amazing one I've seen in ages. SO COOL!! Hope your autumn is going well and that your back isn't too sore from planting bulbs (like mine is!).
ReplyDeleteThank you... that was a fun picture to take. I've been a little obsessed with milkweed lately trying to coax Monarchs to love my garden.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is indeed a wonderful page. I just love the gorgeous photos. It is really a cool Autumn shades. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteI can hear the rustling!!! wish I was there
ReplyDeleteOh just just come for a visit. ♥
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I imagine all you do is stare out at the beauty at this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteCher Sunray Gardens
Oh that I had time for that... it would be lovely.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color. Are those white bark trees birch?
ReplyDeleteThey are actually Quaking Aspen. Stay tuned for a post about them soon.
ReplyDeleteYes, stunning photos. You do a great job with landscape shots! Your header photo is breathtaking, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, so glad you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteStunning - we don't get fall here, so I enjoy the photos of those with changing seasons.
ReplyDeleteYes, but you do get those amazing tropical flowers that I simply adore.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, looks like you had a nice drive, autumn brings out some lovely foliage colours. Up in the mountains we get the foliage in autumn, but not so much were i am, its not cold enough most of the time.
ReplyDeleteAhh.. the changing of the colors actually has more to do with the amount of daylight than the temperature. My next post will explore that idea a bit further.
