This is the sound from my kitchen window:
"cheep! cheep! cheep!
cheep! cheep! cheep!
cheep! cheep! cheep!
cheep!"

We have baby birdies!
After watching Mr. and Mrs. Chickadee's endearing courtship...
and their Spring cleaning as together
they tossed out all the the old furniture from the house...
they tossed out all the the old furniture from the house...
and then meticulously gathered and arranged
their new furniture
their new furniture
into the home of their dreams...
They are now a family.
But one can only assume from the sounds
as they are not yet allowing photographs of the newborns.
Try as I might, I can't even get a shot
of the very busy little mama.
who tirelessly flies in and out
a gazillion times a day with fresh morsels for her little ones.

who tirelessly flies in and out
a gazillion times a day with fresh morsels for her little ones.
She is most definitely a GOLD MEDAL Mamma!
Papa is a bit more congenial...
he allowed a photo... from afar!
Oh the sweet anticipation!
This reminds me of the stranded baby bird outside my house. Not sure what happened--it had disappeared after a day.

ReplyDeleteAdorable post. I love the way you wrote it, Carolyn. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to welcome new "grandbirds" to the neighborhood. Enjoy them. They'll be fledged before you know it. Ann
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love the birdhouse, and it's so nice that you have a nice family as neighbor.
I recently watched wrens build a nest and start a family. I miss hearing those baby birds now that they've flown the nest!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post ... I so enjoyed it! I do hope you get your photos of the little ones soon.
ReplyDeleteSometimes watching birds flying in and out is a fun activity all by itself. N what a lovely birdhouse that is :)
